What Africa’s Most Influential Little Girl Had to Say About Our PM
13-year-old Nigerian, Zunel Oduwole was voted the Most Influential Young Person in Africa in 2012.
Zunel has been interviewing world leaders from the tender age of nine on the importance of education for girls.
By age eleven, Zuriel had already interviewed numerous incumbent heads of state; all of whom are still in office today.
She made history by becoming the youngest person ever to be interviewed by Forbes Africa.
She has also interviewed African billionaire Aliko Dangote, and tennis queens Venus and Serena Williams among other popular figures.
Business Insider magazine even named her one of the world’s 100 most powerful individuals!
As a result, she has drawn comparisons to Oprah Winfrey and Larry King for her remarkable ability in interviewing notable personalities.
However, her personal favourite is the Prime Minister of Jamaica. Here is what she said about Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller:
“She held my hands and prayed for me and then she put me on her lap to take official pictures with her, which was very different from all the other 13 presidents and prime ministers I have interviewed.” AHH!
