Prime Minister Andrew Holness Receives Honorary Doctorate from Delaware State University
Prime Minister Andrew Holness of Jamaica was recently bestowed with the prestigious Honorary Doctoral Degree of Humane Letters by Delaware State University, a notable institution in the United States of America.
The degree stands as the highest honour conferred by the university.
The honour was formally presented during the university’s 2024 graduation ceremony, held on Friday.
The announcement of this significant recognition was made by Delaware State University President, Dr. Tony Allen.
In his address to the graduating class, Prime Minister Holness expressed gratitude for the honour and took a moment to recognise the representation of 38 Jamaican graduates among the cohort who received masters and doctoral degrees.
During his speech, Prime Minister Holness offered insightful advice to the graduates, emphasising the importance of perspective in navigating life’s challenges.
