Caribbean to Strengthen Tourism Ties with Emirates Airline

Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett has announced that plans are underway to leverage Emirates Airline’s extensive routes and networks to enhance connectivity between the Caribbean, Latin America, and the Middle East.

Discussions regarding this potential partnership took place during the recently held Arabian Travel Market in Dubai.

Minister Bartlett revealed that Emirates Airline is keen to deepen its presence in the region.

Through a hub-and-spoke arrangement, this partnership could facilitate a significant increase in the number of visitors travelling between the Middle East and Jamaica, as well as the wider Caribbean.

Jamaica welcomed over twelve hundred visitors from the Middle East last year, signalling a robust post-pandemic recovery and growth.

Emirates Airline, based in Dubai, is one of the world’s largest airlines, connecting customers to a network of over 150 destinations.
