NWC Reports 82% Restoration of Water Supply to Customers
The National Water Commission (NWC) has successfully restored water supply to most of its customers.
Acting Communication Manager, Delano Williams, stated that as of Saturday, 82 percent of customers had their water restored.
Water supply has been reinstated in 13 major towns across the island.
However, Mr. Williams mentioned that the NWC is encountering difficulties in restoring water to certain areas, including sections of Mandeville in Manchester, South and South East Clarendon, and Northern St. Elizabeth, which were severely impacted by Hurricane Beryl.
Last week, the Water Commission reported that the Mona Reservoir, serving parts of the Corporate Area, was at 68 percent capacity, while the Hermitage Dam was at full capacity.
