Hallgrímsson Earned JM $75 Million Annually Coaching the Reggae Boyz
Heimir Hallgrímsson, the former head coach of Jamaica’s national senior football team, was compensated handsomely during his tenure with the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF).
Earning a substantial JM $75 million per year, Hallgrímsson’s salary included a monthly pay of US $40,000 (approximately JM $6.2 million) after an initial contract of US $360,000 per year, plus housing and accommodation.
His contract also featured performance-based incentives, allowing him to earn a percentage of the revenue from tournaments where he led the team to qualification.
Despite these attractive terms, Hallgrímsson decided to part ways with the JFF.
His new role with the Irish Federation offers an even more lucrative package, reportedly JM $35 million more per year than his Jamaican salary.
