Reggae Girl Jody Brown Graduates from Florida State University with Honours
Reggae Girl Jody Brown marked a significant milestone this past weekend as she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities from Florida State University.
The 22-year-old was among the cohort of 101 student-athletes who received their degrees from FSU over the course of last Friday and Saturday.
Throughout her tenure at Florida State, Brown played an instrumental role in clinching two National Division 1 Soccer titles in 2021 and 2023, further embellishing her impressive array of accolades.
Additionally, she contributed significantly to FSU’s dominance in the ACC Division One, being a part of four championship-winning teams consecutively from 2020 to 2023, showcasing her exceptional talent and commitment to collegiate soccer.
Beyond her athletic prowess, Brown distinguished herself academically, culminating in her graduation this year. Expressing her gratitude and nostalgia, Brown took to Instagram to reflect on her university experience, stating, “Four years of unforgettable memories, lessons, and lifelong friendships. Thank you Florida State University.”
Her Instagram post elicited an outpouring of congratulations from her fellow Reggae Girlz teammates, including Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, Kiki van Zanten, and Tiffany Cameron.
Notably, Jamaican track and field icon Veronica Campbell Brown, a two-time Olympic gold medallist in the 200m, also joined in celebrating Brown’s remarkable achievement.
