The other nominees were Aquaventure @ Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas, Cayman Turtle Centre, Dolphin Cove (Jamaica), Dolphin Discovery (Anguilla) and Stingray City (Antigua).

At approximately 180 feet (55 m) high and 600 feet (180 m) long, the Dunn’s River waterfalls are terraced like giant natural stairs though some incorporate man-made improvements.

Climbing the waterfalls is a popular tourist activity. It takes about 1-1.5 hours to climb with short breaks for photographs and video recordings taken tour guides.

Dunn’s River Falls was previously named the Caribbean’s Leading Tourist Excursion for two consecutive years (2009-2010) at the World Travel Awards.
