via Youtube

The USATF Bermuda Grand Prix is set to feature one of the most electrifying track and field stars, as double-double Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah prepares for her much-anticipated season debut this Sunday, April 28, at the Flora Duffy Stadium.

Thompson-Herah, training under Coach Reynaldo Walcott at Elite Performance, is currently the fastest woman in the world with a record time of 10.54 seconds in the 100m, achieved in August 2021 in Oregon.

Renowned for her historic victories at the 2016 Rio and 2021 Tokyo Olympics, where she clinched gold in both the 100m and 200m events, Thompson-Herah is the only woman ever to achieve this feat in consecutive Olympic Games.

Her achievements include a triple clean sweep of sprint medals at the Tokyo Olympics, joining legends Usain Bolt and Florence Griffith-Joyner in this elite circle.
