According to United States Customs and Border Protection officials, a Jamaican woman was arrested at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on September 2nd after she tried to hide nearly 3 pounds of cocaine in her brassiere.
Customs and Border Protection officers reportedly discovered a white, powdery substance which later tested positive for cocaine inside the woman’s bra.
This is another excellent example of our CBP officers’ expertise in preventing dangerous drugs from entering the United States,” said Fort Lauderdale International Airport Port Director Jorge Roig.
A total of 2.7 pounds of cocaine was seized and handed over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is the largest federal law enforcement agency of the United States Department of Homeland Security charged with regulating and facilitating international trade, collecting import duties, and enforcing U.S. regulations, including trade, customs, and immigration.
