Miss Universe

Smooth golden skin she brings
Beauty radiates from her but it starts from deep within
Floating on clouds she glides about
There is no doubt in our minds that she knows her worth
Loud cheers shake the walls but she stands firm
“Good evening everyone” she begins to wow the crowd
Well mannered and such strong stature we get lost in her charisma

Her body is designed with such precision
Her hair lays low, to ensure that the crown fits just right
The cheers fade away and the crowd is stunned
Pardon me? Why is miss universe standing four stages down?
The black, green and gold flag still towers over the crowd
Why is it that miss universe isn’t wearing her crown?

poem about child abuse encouraging children to speak about itDidn’t they see she stood out from the rest?
She flashes a beautiful smile to tell us she is still the best
She danced to the beat of the performers soothing music
Such a playful persona
She was truly like no other

The show came to an end
The winner stood tall and proud but four stages down
Miss Jamaica is still deserving of a wonderful crown
One beauty captured the heart of the world
Four stages from the crown in the night but last night miss Jamaica still shone bright
