It is the day before Christmas and what have you done?
Have you bought all your presents and prepared for the fun?
A last minute shopping in the crowd here perhaps
Or contented you are just to see time elapse
It is the day before Christmas, just hours away
Do you look forward to, how you’ll spend the day?
It is the day before Christmas add a week and it’s New Year
I give you best wishes and hope you’ll be there
It is the day before Christmas, some folks will be sad
Perhaps something bad happened and they lost what they had
So let’s not be selfish as we are all prone
Not all will be happy, they’ll miss them and moan
It is the day before Christmas, let’s not forget
If you spend too hard, next year you’ll regret
It is the day before Christmas, or is it two days before?
You see when I wrote this I wasn’t so sure
If it turns out that it two days and not one like I said
Just read it tomorrow when you get outa bed
