Three Vauxhall High Teachers Arrested After Cutting Student’s Hair

Three male teachers from the Vauxhall High School in Kingston have reportedly been arrested and charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and unlawful wounding after they allegedly shaved a student’s hair on Wednesday.

Elletson Road Police say that at approximately 7:30 am, the three teachers allegedly shaved a male student’s head during which the child received bruises.

The teachers were reportedly taken into custody after the matter was reported to the police.

The teachers are scheduled to appear before the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, June 8. 

  

A significant number of Jamaicans have already taken to social media to voice their opinions on the matter with many seemingly of the view that the teachers overstepped their boundaries by shaving the student’s head.

There have also been numerous calls for the teachers to be convicted.
