REPARATION WONDERLAND
There is once again the talk about REPARATIONS, yet many of us still have no clue about who we really are.
Do we really think that were REPARATIONS to be paid out that every single one of us BLACK FOLKS would benefit from it? Seriously?
Many of us sadly want to continue using SLAVERY as an excuse for NOT DOING BETTER, or BEING BETTER.
We want to BENEFIT from the suffering of our ANCESTORS while we are not doing anything to make them proud.
Not one of us in this century have felt the RAMIFICATIONS of SLAVERY, yet we want to pretend that we are SHACKLED by chains and the WHITE MAN is beating us into the ground, when the truth is our own IGNORANCE will be the death of many of us.
What are WE doing today as a PROUD RACE of BLACK PEOPLE that would make our ancestors say, ‘BY GOD WE WERE SLAVES, BUT OUR CHILDREN HAVE RISEN UP FROM THE ASHES, AND EVEN THOUGH WE SUFFERED, WE CAN NOW DANCE IN OUR GRAVES KNOWING THAT IN SPITE OF THE TIMES WHEN WE WERE LESS THAN, TODAY OUR CHILDREN ARE CONQUERORS”?
ANSWER: NOT A DARN THING.
Instead many of us prefer to PLAY VICTIM and use the PAST as an EXCUSE. Many of our children know nothing about AFRICA except what they see on TV,(the land of poor black people, starving and dying from AIDS).
Ask them about Akhenaton, King Hannibal, King Mansa Musa, King Ramesses II, King Taharqa, Makeda, Mekada the queen of Sheba, Queen Nefertari, Queen Nzingha, Queen Yaa Asantewa, Shaka Zulu etc, and they have no DARN CLUE. BUT WE WANT REPARATIONS?
Ask them about Nelson Mandela, Steve Biko, and they have no clue, BUT WE WANT REPARATIONS?
Our young men walk around looking like THUGS, BUT WE WANT REPARATIONS?
Our young women are baby factories, BUT WE WANT REPARATIONS?
We BUY and GLORIFY the DIAMONDS that many of our BLACK PEOPLE are still slaving away in mines for, BUT WE WANT REPARATIONS?
Jamaica is a country under SIEGE by our own BLACK BROTHERS and SISTERS, BUT WE WANT REPARATIONS?
Slavery was no JOKE! It was a time of immense PAIN and SUFFERING for many of our ANCESTORS, so instead of SHOUTING that we want PAYMENT which will be of no benefit to THEM, HOW ABOUT WE LIFT OURSELVES UP AND DO THEM PROUD, SO THAT THEIR SUFFERING IS NOT IN VAIN?
We can never forget our PAST, but do we allow it to be a SHACKLE, or do we RISE from the ASHES and be CONQUERORS?

Why after suffering for 500 years , murdered , whipped, hanged and brutalised by English, French, Dutch, Danish, Spanish should we not get a fair payment.
