Maia Chung
Maia Chung is a Public Relations Manager at Admark the top Advertising and Marketing Firm in Jamaica.
She is concurrently Managing Director for the Maia Chung Autism and Disabilities Foundation and CEO of Maia Chung Television – Content Provider MCTV airs globally.
Miss Chung was appointed by Cabinet in April 2012 to the National Advisory Board for Persons with Disabilities which advises the Jamaican Prime Minister on matters relating to the disabled population of the country and she was elected as chairman of the Public Education Committee Sub-Committee of that Board.
In 2012 Miss Chung was appointed to the board of the Jamaica Coalition for the Rights of the Child (JCRC) – the JCRC is a watchdog group comprising several national organisations whose mandate is to uphold the rights of the Jamaican child as articulated in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child as signed and ratified by Jamaica.
Miss Chung is a career journalist who has won awards regionally and internationally in all the mediums she has worked and is an award winning Philanthropist.

1. How many children, and adults are suffering from ASD in Jamaica, under 18, and over? 2. How much will it cost per child? How much would it cost to include adult ASD who also rely on caregivers? 3. I would like to know if parents in the rural areas are able to use the resources to help their special needs children. Would cultural practices inhibit parents in the rural areas from getting the information that would allow them to use the available resources? Can these children reach their true potential?
