Is this Grossly Unfair to Mr Holness?

The issue of Opposition Leader Andrew Holness’ mansion in Beverly Hills comes to the fore again with Minister of Finance, Peter Phillips, alluding to it once again (on national TV).

If Mr Holness intends to formally “declare his assets” at the end of the fiscal year, in accordance to protocol, why then is the Minister calling for such action before the February 25 General Elections?

In a clip by CVM TV, Minister Phillips says “facts are not yet proven”.

So if not proven, how can these be FACTS?

Surely, this issue should be examined in parliament initially and not dramatised in such a crass manner in the public domain?

Until the issue hits the courts and there are legal investigations into probable misappropriation of public funds, nobody should be questioning whether Mr Holness chooses to build a shack on Negril Beach or a mansion in Beverly Hills.

Is it fair to single out the Opposition Leader like this?
