The Gully Bop Saga
At the risk of being labeled as BAD MIND, I will SPEAK MY MIND.
Once you speak a truth that many do not wish to hear you are labeled as such, but that is fine.
I find the present GULLY BOP SAGA amusing to say the least.
Here is a man who has gotten another chance to be someone and what does he do? FORGET WHERE HE IS COMING FROM!
To hear him DISRESPECT a woman and her PIECE a car, speaks volumes about his MENTALITY.
Worse yet, to hear him say and I quote that “he has plenty children but he only looks after three or so because he makes it a pattern that he only deals with a woman who is working or a woman who has a man who is working”.
That is some serious CRAP.
Are these the kind of people we really emulate and put on pedestals?
I have no problem with anyone making it in life and uplifting themselves, but surely it can be done without the DISRESPECT of both WOMEN and CHILDREN by our men.
Sadly, it seems more and more that our society has denigrated much to the point where all one has to do to get a little fame is to write a couple lyrics DISRESPECTING WOMEN and they have made it.
But then again the behavior of many of our women in the DANCE HALL also speaks VOLUMES about the LACK of SELF RESPECT and SELF LOVE among many of our women.
And yet when our young GIRLS and BOYS mess up we have no problem blaming them, but who do they have as role models?
The mothers showing it all the dance halls?
The fathers who only IMPREGNATE women who are working or who already hace a man who is working? The DJ’s whose lyrics is either about VIOLENCE or the best way to BRUTALIZE the body of a woman?
Where the heck did our morals go?
Sadly Gully Bop is not the first nor will he the last. From the Vybz Kartel, to the Alkaline, and all the others who see women as nothing more than SEX OBJECTS, it is very clear that not too many of us women have our heads screwed on properly.
Sadly WE are the ones who BIG THEM UP and MAKE GODS out of them.
TRULY we are a society that is very LOST.
Sick people should go to mental hospital. Protest the people who encourage people like that to say things like that. People like us who put it on Facebook and in the media. If a person is a alcoholic do you buy him alcohol? Dont buy tickets , phone his manger tell them to help him to control what he says. The people who are asking him about his kids may all so have ten of their own and not supporting them.

Gully Bop is an entertainer… as far as that goes his way of life, dos and donts are his concern not ours. Thats your opinion and if u listen and watch the video, in the first part he did say she was driving reckless and could have hurt them and hurt herself and she was lucky because the hit could have been worst. I supposed he has his reasons for saying that. Every one have their unique point of view but they are not always right.
As an entertainer myself I don’t normally comment on these issues but for me all views can contend. Gully Bop is the new sensation, some will like him some will not and he is just one out of many. Parents should be the real role models for their children, don’t just leave it up to anyone. Help them to grow and stare them in the direction that they are to go. I would like to see everyone make it, but when you do don’t forget that is people put you there. So be careful how you address issues.
If that truth makes you a bad minded person then you have my company. You have mirrowed my very thoughts on Mr Gully Bop. Trust that he will come to know some of the finer things of life like having the number of kids he can reasonably support and to treat the women/woman in his life with due respect consideration care concern and love.- the kids he brings into the world will benefit from that enlightened behavior too!!

Hi Guys, go light on Gully Bop. The guy has just got a little break. He is not an intellectual who lectures at the University. Here is a guy who get a break to make life better for him and his family and you have time to bash him and find the negatives things to write about this guy.if he was still helpless would you offer him a dollar.at least he is not roaming the street of kingston and killing people. .be happy for gully bop.to be poor is a crime.
The message in the article is important and can’t be over-emphasized, but using Gully Bop as the basis for the article was a bad move. That killed your article entirely as it’s as you say and you come off as a hater indeed.
