At the official release of the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) results on Friday morning, Education Minister Dr Dana Morris-Dixon confirmed that 44 per cent of public school candidates earned passing grades in Mathematics, while English A recorded an 85 per cent pass rate.

The regional pass rate for English A stood at 76 per cent in 2024, while Mathematics recorded a 39 per cent success rate in 2025, an increase from 36 per cent the year before.

Performance in Information Technology showed a five percentage point rise, with grade ones jumping by 23 per cent.
