Weather Woes Force Rescheduling of Jamaica vs. Canada Concacaf Nations League Quarterfinal Clash

The first leg of the League A Concacaf Nations League quarterfinal showdown between Jamaica and Canada has been rescheduled to kick off at 10:30 am on Saturday at the National Stadium.

Originally slated for a 7:00 pm start on Friday, the match faced a series of delays and, ultimately, a postponement due to persistent rainfall triggered by a tropical system affecting the island.

Concacaf officials, following a thorough examination of the waterlogged field, initially expressed optimism for a 9:00 pm kickoff.

However, unrelenting rainfall persisted, forcing the inevitable decision to reschedule the much-anticipated encounter.

In a statement, Concacaf revealed that officials maintained continuous communication with both the referees and the teams throughout the weather-induced challenges.

Despite the setback, all patrons who purchased tickets will still have the opportunity to witness the match, with access limited to the Grandstand.

Those with previously scanned tickets will receive appropriate credit for entry.

Looking ahead, the second leg of the Concacaf Nations League quarterfinal between Jamaica and Canada is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at the BMO Field in Toronto.
