“The Ass-Kicking Machine” Dominates Bellator 301, Becomes Seventh Fighter to Hold Welterweight Title

Jamaican-born Jason Jackson has defeated the previously undefeated Ukranian fighter Yaroslav Amosov to claim the Bellator Welterweight Championship.

The WinTrust Arena in Chicago witnessed a masterful performance from Jackson on Friday, who showcased his skills and determination throughout the bout.

From the opening bell, Jackson, known as “The Ass-Kicking Machine,” dictated the pace of the fight, keeping Amosov on the back foot with relentless pressure and impeccable defense against takedowns.

The 33-year-old fighter, was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, and later moving to South Florida at the age of 12.

The turning point of the fight came in the third round when Jackson landed a precise straight right hand, sending Amosov to the canvas.

Sensing an opportunity, Jackson seized the moment and intensified his assault, ultimately finishing the bout with a brutal short uppercut as Amosov attempted a desperate takedown.

With this victory, Jason Jackson not only secured his place in MMA history but also became the seventh fighter to hold the prestigious Bellator Welterweight Championship.

His professional record now stands at an impressive 17 wins and 4 losses, solidifying his status as a force to be reckoned with in the welterweight division.

For Yaroslav Amosov, the defeat marked the first blemish on an otherwise unblemished record, moving him to 27-1 overall.
