Jamaica’s S Hotel Ranked #1 by Condé Nast Traveler

In the heart of Montego Bay’s Jimmy Cliff Boulevard, a Jamaican-owned and managed gem has been making waves in the world of luxury travel.

S Hotel Jamaica has earned its place among the world’s best hotels, as recognised by Conde Nast Traveler, the world’s most prestigious travel magazine.

The S Hotel has not only earned the distinction of being ranked among the best hotels in the world but has also claimed the prestigious title of the number one hotel in the Caribbean and Central America by Conde Nast Traveler.

The hotel’s remarkable journey to the top of the hospitality industry is all the more impressive considering it opened its doors in 2019, just before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a time of unprecedented challenges for the global travel industry, S Hotel Jamaica managed not only to weather the storm but to shine even brighter.

Conde Nast Traveler’s 2023 Best Hotels in the World Readers Choice Awards is a revered benchmark in the travel industry, having run for 36 years and garnering the input of a staggering 526,518 participants in its annual survey.

The list is traditionally dominated by renowned luxury brands like the Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, Peninsula, and Shangri-La, which span the globe.

The S Hotel Jamaica’s global ranking at number 16 is a testament to its dedication to excellence.

Jamaica’s Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett, praised the achievement, saying, “It is an impressive ranking for a hotel that opened in 2019. S Hotel is Jamaican in every sense and they are known to be very meticulous in their operations. It is good to see Jamaica’s higher-end resorts getting this attention – the emphasis on Jamaican culture, first-rate service, and that family feeling is gaining a lot of traction. Kudos to the phenomenal team there for continually striving for perfection.”
