Shericka Jackson and Sha’Carri Richardson Set to Clash in Poland: National Sprint Double Champion Takes on American Speedster
Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson and Sha’carri Richardson of the United States are set to compete in the Silesia Kamila Skolimowska Diamond League meet in Poland this Sunday, July 16.
The highlight of the event will be the women’s 100 meters showdown, where they will be joined by the speedy Marie-Josee Ta Lou from Ivory Coast.
Shericka Jackson, who recently defended her national titles by clocking world-leading times of 10.65 seconds in the 100 meters and 21.75 seconds in the 200 meters, has expressed uncertainty about competing in the sprint double at the World Championship in Hungary.
In the men’s 100 meters race, Jamaican sprinters Ackeem Blake and the talented Kishane Thompson will face off against American speedsters Noah Lyles and Fred Kerley. The event will also feature the participation of South African Akani Simbine and Great Britain’s Reece Prescod, adding further excitement.
Notably, the women’s triple jump will showcase the presence of Olympic and World Champion Yulimar Rojas.
