WATCH: Daena Soares Is Jamaica’s new Miss Universe!
Daena Soares, a St. Elizabeth native is Jamaica’s new Miss Universe.
She won the title during Saturday’s contest.
The 22-year-old is now slated to represent Jamaica at the 70th Miss Universe pageant, which will take place in Israel on December 12.
Soares is a recent graduate of the University of the West Indies. She also won the sectional prize for Most Photogenic.
Trishanie Weller was placed second while Lauren Less came in third.
