COVID Hospitlisations On The Rise Locally
There has been a s fairly steep increase in the number of persons hospitalised with COVID-19 in Jamaica.
According to the Ministry of Health & Wellness, there are currently 345 hospitalisations across the island.
This is up from 302 on Monday.
COVID-19 has also claimed 13 more lives in Jamaica, increasing the death toll to 1,254.
Four of the deaths were recorded in Kingston, St. Catherine and Clarendon each had three, two in St. Elizabeth and one in Manchester.
At the same time, 334 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed on Tuesday from 859 samples.
The positivity rate is 35.3 per cent.
The overall case count is 55,790.
