Education Minister – Schools To Be Ranked Based On NEI Report

Education Minister Senator Ruel Reid recently revealed that the National Education Inspectorate (NEI) Report will be used to rank secondary schools across the island.

According to the senator, both the report and Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) results will be used to compile the ranking.

He is quoted by RJR as saying:

“We have to look at holistically how we are evaluating the performance of the system. In fact, the NEI will be coming shortly with what we call a Value Added Matrix, where we look at the starting points of students in relation to the school quality and type and see how schools are adding value to our students overall.”
