Veronica Campbell-Brown Clocks World Leading Time at Florida Relays
On Thursday, Jamaica’s two-time Olympic 200m champion Veronica Campbell-Brown showed that she is in great form by clocking a world leading time to win the women’s 200m event at the Florida Relays.
Campbell-Brown clocked 22.60 seconds to cross the line ahead of Canadian Crystal Emmanuel (22.86) and American Destiny Carter who posted 22.92 seconds for third place.
Leah Nugent meanwhile won the women’s 400m hurdles in 55.53 seconds while Roxroy Cato was 4th in the men’s equivalent in 49.35 seconds.
Another Jamaican at the meet, Natoya Goule, was third in the women’s 400m in a time of 52.65 seconds.
The American athlete – Claudia Francis won that event with a time of 52.00s.
