Jamaican Cricketer is No.1 All-Rounder in Australian Big Bash League
Jamaican cricketer Andre Russell has been ranked as the best all-rounder heading into the new season of the Australian Big Bash T20 League on the first release of the official BBL Player Rankings.
Russell, who plays for both Jamaica and the West Indies leads the rankings with 21.6 points ahead of the new season.
And his well deserved placement atop the rankings follows a a stunning last campaign during which he helped steer his club, the Sydney Thunder to win their maiden title.
However the talented cricketer is currently in a bit of a quandry as he currently awaits a ruling from the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission Disciplinary Committee (JADCO).
He faces a two year ban from cricket if found guilty by the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission Disciplinary Committee (JADCO) for failing to record his whereabouts on three separate occasions last year for drug authorities.
The 28-year-old meanwhile is also 6th on the batting rankings headed by Chris Lynn of the Brisbane Heat ahead of Usman Khawaja (Sydney Thunder) and Kevin Pietersen (Melbourne Stars).
