Buses Collide Leaving 10 Persons Hospitalised

At least 10 persons were reportedly rushed to hospital on Monday following a collision between a Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) bus and a Coaster in Greenwich Farm, St Andrew.

Reports are that at approximately 7:30am, the coaster bus operator was driving the vehicle from Marcus Garvey Drive towards Spanish Town Road when the vehicle collided with a JUTC bus travelling in the opposite direction.

The crash occurred at the intersection of East Avenue and Third Street, according to an eye-witness.

Police said at least eight passengers from the Coaster bus and two from the JUTC were taken to hospital suffering from cuts and bruises.
