Usain Bolt Among GQ’s “Men of the Year” For 2016

GQ has released its annual “Men of the Year” list for 2016.

And Jamaica’s Usain Bolt is among three gentlemen to receive the honour.

The others are Canadian actor and producer Ryan Reynolds and American actor and filmmaker Warren Beatty.

According to GQ’s editors, the selections were made after choosing “three men who brought some much-needed light into a very long year”.

GQ also described Jamaica’s ace sprinter as being “the most exciting man in sports this year”.

At the most recent Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Bolt became the first person in history to complete the ‘triple-triple’, after winning 3 gold medals in the 100, 200 and 4x100m events at three consecutive Olympic games.

GQ (formerly Gentlemen’s Quarterly) is an international monthly men’s magazine based in New York City.

The publication focuses on fashion, style, and culture for men, though articles on food, movies, fitness, sex, music, travel, sports, technology, and books are also featured.
