Shelly Wins ‘Best Opening Ceremony Hair’ – Rio Olympics

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce was Jamaica’s flag bearer during yesterday’s  (August 5) opening ceremony for the 2016 Olympic games at the Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The ‘Pocket Rocket’ as she is commonly called donned green and yellow hair – colours heavily featured on the Jamaican flag.

BBC Sport yesterday declared her – the winner for the ‘best Opening Ceremony hair’.

Jamaica’s flag bearer at the 2012 Olympic games in London was Usain Bolt.

This year Bolt opted to skip the ceremony. In a social media video just hours before the ceremony, he stated:

“Opening Ceremony time, but I won’t be there, people All the buses are out”.

“Looks like the whole squad is out, road movements. One big lazy par me den pon today, no movement for me,” he also stated.
