11 Medals For Jamaica at Rio Olympics
Jamaica has once again done extremely well at the Olympic Games, having won a total of 11 medals at this year’s staging in Rio de Janeiro Brazil.
Last night (August 20), Jamaica earned its final two medals of the games courtesy of the men’s and women’s 4x400m relay teams.
The men’s team (2:58.16) finished second to the United States (2:57.30) while the women’s team also finished second to the United States after clocking 3:20:34.
The US women’s team won that event in 3:19.06.
Jamaica’s 11 medals include 6 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze. Currently Jamaica sits in 2nd place on the medal standings for athletics behind the United States who earned 13 gold medals and 15th overall.
