Bolt Stumbles, Recovers to Comfortably Win 100m at Racers Grand Prix

Recovering from a stumble in a 100m race at the professional level is a difficult task for even the world’s most gifted athletes.

However, that is exactly what the world’s fastest man – Usain Bolt did at the inaugural JN Racers Grand Prix at the national stadium on Saturday night (June 11).

Following a stumble at the beginning of the race which, possibly could have resulted in him falling, Bolt recovered with great aplomb to register an impressive 9.88 second clocking.

His bad start required him to chase the field, but after 50 metres, the phenomenal speedster was already in line with his competition.

In the end, Bolt comfortably eased to victory, and the manner in which he achieved the win strongly suggests that he is in fine form ahead of the Rio Olympics.

Ashmeade finished second with a time of 9.94, ahead of Yohan Blake, who finished third in a similar time of 9.94.

Asafa Powell was  fourth in a time of 9.98.
