Kartel to Launch ‘Global’ Clothing Line

Vybz Kartel, despite being incarcerated has seemingly retained his business oriented mindset.

The popular dancehall artiste and his team are reportedly carrying out final preparations to release  the official VK line brand, “From Portmore to the World”, based on the popular deejay’s Gaza Movement and his music.

A recent release by Kartel’s publicist states the brand is poised for a major impact on urban fashion globally.

“The Gaza Movement already has pent-up demand for official Vybz Kartel merchandise, so it is expected this will be a global brand in a matter of weeks, says the marketing team in the release.

It has been  revealed that all intellectual property rights are to be vested in the name of Taneisha Johnson, Vybz Kartel’s common-law wife.

Earlier this year, Kartel launched his latest rum line, Gaza Vybz Rum, his second foray into the rum market. Vybz Kartel and Corey Todd had a successful partnership with Street Vybz Rum which hit the market in 2008.
