Schoolboys Drown in Rio Cobre River
The bodies of two boys who went missing on Wednesday afternoon have been recovered.
The boys, both students of the Tredegar Park All-Age School in St Catherine were presumed to have drowned after the school’s administration was reportedly alerted by a member of staff of a query from a parent about a mishap at the river.
The parent’s query resulted in enquirers regarding the location of the boys.
Two school bags and a pair of school uniforms were found following a search in the area.
Following a relentless search which involved relatives, local divers, residents of the surrounding community, and the police, the bodies of the two boys were discovered on Thursday (April 28).
The boys were 13 and 15 years of age.
