Mother of 6 Brutally Killed – Handling Jamaica’s Killers

Last year while calling for heartless killers to be put to death, retired senior cop Reneto Adams stated:

“We have to find a way to rid the society of those cannibals who prey on innocent people and murder children.”

I know many persons will not agree with me on this, but these savage criminals that are willing to snuff out the lives of innocent Jamaicans on a whim are indeed cannibals and should be put to death.

My heart melted and my eyes filled with tears reading a report yesterday (April 12) about a mother of six who was killed in Clarendon.

According to The Star, a 38 year old business woman Moureen Carter was shot and killed in the Foga Road area of Jacob But in Clarendon at minutes to 11.

According to close friends of the business woman, a drink out party was winding down when the gunmen struck killing her on the spot, leaving six children motherless – Investigations continue.

Who will look after this woman’s children and what kind of awful impact will this horrific incident have on them?

I recall reading a report by the Observer some years ago which stated that a probe carried out by the police revealed that murderers desperate to make quick money were willing to kill for as little as $5,000.

Now answer me honestly – when you have killers who are taking the lives of other human beings for a mere $5000 Jamaican dollars, do these persons deserve to live?

I don’t think they do. In my view, any person who deliberately robs an innocent person of his or her life, also deserves to die.

I strongly believe if many of the criminals roaming the streets today knew that there was a strong possibility that they could be strung up and hanged or beheaded like some are in other countries, they would think twice before carrying out some of the vicious and heartless crimes we see taking place in Jamaica today.

Several studies have linked capital punishment to reduced murder rates.

A recent comprehensive review of capital punishment in the United States concluded that the majority of studies that track the effects of capital punishment over many years and across states or counties point to it having a  deterring effect.

Capital punishment as far as I know is legal in Jamaica, however the last execution took place in 2009.

Start killing convicted killers – the other killers will kill less!
