Jamaican Chef Wins On Food Network’s TV Series – Chopped

A talented Jamaican born Chef – Andre Fowles came out on top on Tuesday when was lined up on the Food Network’s reality-based cooking television game show Chopped.

In each episode of Chopped, four chefs compete. Their challenge is to take a mystery basket of ingredients and turn them into a dish that is judged on their creativity, presentation, and taste.

Tuesday night’s episode focused on Caribbean cuisine.

Fowles is currently the resident sous-chef at Miss Lily’s — an authentic, vibrant Jamaican restaurant in New York.

  

Originally from Kingston, he attended Donald Quarrie High School and received training at the Runaway Bay HEART Academy before leaving Jamaica in 2014.

His victory earned him the title ‘Chopped Champion’ and US$10,000.
