Jamaica Gets Rain From Hurricane Joaquin
Sections of Jamaica are now receiving rainfall associated with Hurricane Joaquin.
Though the hurricane will not hit Jamaica, the outer bands of the system are large thus affecting several nearby countries.
According to Duty Forecaster at the National Met Service, Peter Fearon the north coast is already being affected by the system.
Caribbean Airlines also announced the cancellation of flights due to the movement of Hurricane Joaquin.
Flights BW 414 from Kingston to Nassau and BW 415 from Nassau to Kingston today (October 2) have been cancelled.
Caribbean Airlines also stated it will not charge date change penalties and associated fees for ticketed customers travelling to and from Nassau who are directly affected by the cancellations.
These displaced customers will be accommodated on a space-available basis on October 4, 6, and 9.
