Alvas Powell Rejoins Reggae Boyz For WC Qualifying Game Against Nicaragua
21-year-old Alvas Powell has rejoined the Reggae Boyz after reportedly walking out on the team during their CONCACAF Gold Cup campaign a few weeks ago.
In a report by the Portland Timbers, the US Major League Soccer team where Powell plies his trade, the young defender has been named to the Jamaican national football team for two upcoming games.
Another Jamaican who represents the Portland Timbers – forward Michael Seaton has also been named for the upcoming pair of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Nicaragua.
Jamaica will face Nicaragua at the National Stadium inside the Independence Park Sports Complex on September 4 at 8pm and again in the return leg in Managua on Tuesday, September 8.
