Alleged US Child Molester Arrested After Being Identified At Jamaican Airport
An alleged American child molester is now in the custody of law enforcement after he was identified at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St. James, on Tuesday.
The man, 59-year-old Scott Leblanc fled the United States in 2013 after being hit with sexual assault charges in New Hampshire.
He allegedly assaulted a 13-year-old girl in the 1990s.
He arrived on the island on a flight from Toronto, Canada.
After arriving in Jamaica law enforcement officials reportedly denied him entry to the country and returned him to Toronto.
He was thereafter deported to Buffalo, New York, where he was arrested and charged for being a fugitive from justice.
So heartwarming when our systems work. Congratulations to PICA and the JCF intelligence unit!
