Drugs Found on Caribbean Airlines Flight

Caribbean Airlines (CAL) today (April 26) confirmed that a quantity of cocaine had been discovered on one of its planes that was scheduled to depart for the United States.

The illegal substance was found in the cargo section and placed among chilli peppers on flight 480 bound for Florida.

Clint Williams, the CAL communications manager  told reporters “I can confirm some drugs were found” adding that they were discovered during a routine check of the airline.

Based on numerous media reports the name and address of the person to whom the package belonged had not been disclosed, but a man is being sought by the authorities.

The quantity of cocaine and and its worth has not yet been revealed.
