Reggae Boyz Move Up FIFA Rankings

Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz have climbed five places to 75 on the latest FIFA/Coca Cola World Rankings.

This follows a recent 4-2 victory over Guyana in the Caribbean Cup.

Despite the improved ranking, Jamaica still remains the third highest ranked team in the Caribbean behind Trinidad and Tobago (up 4 spots to 65) and St. Kitts and Nevis who also moved up 4 places to 73.

Jamaica’s next assignment will see the Reggae Boyz facing Suriname on November 13 for more Caribbean Cup qualifying action.

‘Kings of the region’ Mexico remain the highest ranked CONCACAF team despite falling two places to 17.

Costa Rica are second at 18 followed by the United States who fell two spots to 24.

The other CONCACAF teams making the top 100 are Panama 63, Antigua and Barbuda 82, Guatemala 83, Honduras 86 and Haiti 87.

Argentina retains the number one spot with reigning world champions Germany up a spot to second.

Olympic champions Brazil are third with Belgium and Colombia completing the top 5.
