As usual The Jamaican Blogs™ takes pride in highlighting the achievements of of our countrymen; both near and far.

Some time ago we cast a spotlight on a Jamaican lady who pilots one of the world’s most impressive aircraft.

Now courtesy of Caribbean Pilots World Wide, we can share images that should warm the heart of all Jamaicans:

The first time an all-Jamaican crew operates the Boeing B787 Dreamliner.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a long-range, mid-size wide-body, twin-engine jet airliner developed by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It is one of the most advanced aircraft in the world and is also the most fuel efficient airliner produced by Boeing. Its variants seat 242 to 335 passengers in typical 3-class seating configurations. The unit cost for one of these planes is well over US$200 million.

Captain Konrad Warner (fmr. Air Jamaica) and  First Officer Brian Campbell (fmr. Caribbean Airlines Kingston base) operating Etihad Airways flight EY131 from Abu Dhabi to Washington Dulles Airport, November 30, 2015.

How wonderful is it to see two Jamaicans pilot this incredibly sophisticated flying machine?
