Black Hypocrisy

Many times I speak of the hypocrisy among black people and get ‘hell’ for it but as usual I do not care.

We have black women in Jamaica and many other places in the world bleaching their skin, wearing all the Brazilian weaves, putting all kinds of blue, grey, orange and purple lenses in their eyes, doing everything possible to change their blackness, and still believe it is quite ok for them to sit on their behinds and cry RACISM every single day.

Now you have a white woman, who seemingly understands the struggle, has done a ton of work in pushing the fight for black people forward, and we crucify her. For one thing and one thing only, she tried to act as if she was black.

And the biggest voices condemning her? Black voices. How ironic that many of the black voices that have nailed her to the cross have sat on their derrières and done nothing but cry racism. For all the good this woman has done, how dare she pretend to be black and act as if she knows about the black struggle?

How many of us black people know the black struggle ourselves? But many of us feel seh because we are black we have the monopoly on everything black. Blatant hypocrisy!

Many of us do not even know where Africa is on the world map, and know nothing about our history before slavery, yet we act as if society owes us a favour.

Many of us do not wear our black skin with pride. We wear it with the understanding that everyone should suck up to us and give us special treatment because we are the offspring of slaves, and that right is OWED to us. How many slaves would be proud to see the mess we have made of ourselves today?

None of us have ever been in chains with the whip of the white man at our backs, yet instead of holding our heads high with pride, our young men walk around with their underwear showing, every other black bredda is a ‘n*gga’, every other black woman is a b*tch and we have the AUDACITY to be critical of a woman who dared to care enough to consider herself black?

God help our ignorance and illiteracy.
