Jamaica to Open Commonwealth Games Campaign Against Trinidad and Tobago

Jamaica’s Sunshine Girls are set to launch their Commonwealth Games campaign in Scotland with a regional clash against Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday, July 25, at the Scottish Event Centre.
Competition for the Jamaicans will come in Pool B, where they have been grouped alongside world number two New Zealand, as well as Wales, Uganda, hosts Scotland, and Trinidad and Tobago.
Action continues quickly with a second outing scheduled for Sunday, July 26, when the Sunshine Girls face the Kiwis.
Momentum builds again on Monday, July 27, with Jamaica lining up against Uganda in their third pool encounter.
A brief pause follows on Tuesday, July 28, providing a rest day before the schedule resumes.
Host nation Scotland awaits Jamaica on Wednesday, July 29, when the Sunshine Girls return to the court.
Group play concludes on Thursday, July 30, with a final Pool B fixture against Wales.
Progression beyond the group stage will see the top two teams from each pool earning spots in the semi-finals on Saturday, August 1.
Championship honours will then be decided in the final slated for Sunday, August 2.
Overall competition at the Commonwealth Games is scheduled to run from July 23 through to August 2.
