Jamaica Storms into Concacaf U15 Final After Dominant Win Over Trinidad

Jamaica secured a spot in the Concacaf Boys’ Under-15 League B final on Friday with a commanding 6-2 victory over Trinidad and Tobago in their semi-final clash at Stadion CD Guillermo Trinidad in Aruba.

The scoring was shared among six Jamaican players, breaking down a Trinidad and Tobago defence that had gone three matches without conceding a goal in the tournament.

Set to face Puerto Rico in Saturday’s final, Jamaica will be looking to follow up on their strong performance after Puerto Rico edged Guatemala in the other semi-final.

A blistering start saw Jamaica go 2-0 up within the first 10 minutes, and they extended the lead to 3-0 by half-time, forcing their opponents to chase the game.

The opener came in the eighth minute when Kenrick Brown converted from the penalty spot after a handball by defender Aden Montano inside the box.

Two minutes later, Samuel Taylor found the far-left corner following a cross from Kelvin D Brown to double the lead.

Montano’s second handball, this time just outside the penalty area, led to Kelvin Brown curling in a free kick past diving goalkeeper Levi Williams in the 35th minute.

Trinidad and Tobago briefly threatened when Reagan Rowe’s powerful strike hit the crossbar before Adasa Richardson reduced the deficit with a clever back-heel in the 41st minute that beat Jamaican goalkeeper Jaheim Grey.

Jamaica struck again in the 50th minute through Davion Clarke, restoring a three-goal cushion, and Kelvin D Brown bagged his second goal four minutes later.

A header in the 62nd minute gave Trinidad and Tobago their second of the match, but Jamaica responded in the 70th when substitute Carlondo Morris, fouled by goalkeeper Williams, stepped up to convert the resulting penalty.
