Gov’t Purchases Additional 1.5 Million COVID-19 Vaccine Doses
The National Health Fund (NHF) has a revealed that the government has secured an additional 1.5 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
According to NHF Chairman Howard Mitchell, the Johnson and Johnson dosages should arrive in a few months, commencing in August “but will continue through into the following year.”
Mr. Mitchell noted that following these deliveries, the country has “no other immediate prospects of vaccines unless and until the Unites States of America releases vaccines as it has committed to do.”
A separate batch of 55,000 vaccine doses is expected to arrive this week, Mr. Mitchell also revealed.
He said approximately 50,000 vaccine are currently in storage.
