10 Students Hospitalised Following Car Crash in Trelawny
Ten students and two motorists were reportedly hospitalised after sustaining injuries in a two vehicle collision along the Martha Brae main road in Trelawny on Friday morning (February 17).
At approximately 7:40 am, a motorcar, loaded with 10 students reportedly collided with another car travelling in the opposite direction along the Martha Brae to Falmouth stretch of road.
Both drivers were reportedly pinned to their respective vehicles and had to be cut out by firefighters from the Falmouth Fire Department.
Several of the students are said to be in serious but stable condition.
Police are surmising that speeding may have led to the accident.
The Falmouth police continue to investigate.
