Former UWI Guild VP and Girlfriend Perish in St Ann Accident
O’Shane Reid, a former UWI Guild Vice President and his girlfriend Shanise Simmonds perished in a motor vehicle accident in Ocho Rios, St Ann on wednesday.
According to Loop News, the couple died on impact when the vehicle they were travelling in overturned on the roadway. Simmonds was reportedly thrown from the vehicle and suffered head injuries.
Several persons have used social media to express their sadness after hearing the unfortunate news.
One friend of Reid, wrote after hearing the news, said “I am beyond words… I just can’t stop crying.”
Simmonds meanwhile has been remembered as a “sweet” person with a “beautiful smile”.
“I will love and miss you all at the same time,” wrote another friend, adding “You were such a beautiful girl, inside and out, gone but will never be forgotten.”
