Jamaican Passport Among the Least Valuable in the Caribbean
The Jamaican passport has been ranked among the least valuable travel documents in the Caribbean.
The ranking is based on the number of countries that waive visa requirements for persons who own a Jamaican passport.
According to passportindex.org, persons who are using a Jamaican passport to travel internationally are granted visa free access to 68 out of the 147 countries it included in the ranking.
With a power ranking of 50, the Jamaican passport is the fourth lowest in Caricom.
Is it deemed more valuable than passports from Haiti, Suriname and Guyana.
Contrastingly, the Barbadian passport with a power ranking of 22 allows its holder to enter 119 countries without needing a visa making it the most valuable passport in CARICOM.
The Bahamian passport, ranked second in CARICOM and allows its holder to enter 117 countries with having a visa.
