Jamaica Handed Tough Group for FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025

Jamaica’s Under-17 men’s team will have to navigate a demanding path at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 after being placed in a group featuring Italy, Ivory Coast and Uzbekistan.

The Young Reggae Boyz were drawn in Group E for the expanded 48-team competition, with advancement to the knockout stage reserved for the top two teams in each group along with the eight best third-placed finishers.

Elsewhere among CONCACAF representatives, Mexico will face Romania, Cameroon and Venezuela in Group K, while the United States landed in Group J alongside Montenegro, Chile and Algeria.

Costa Rica’s young squad was placed in Group I with Brazil, Republic of Ireland and Tanzania, and Honduras will take on Japan, Colombia and Serbia in Group L.

  

Panama, meanwhile, opens its campaign in Group A against host nation Qatar, Egypt and Greece. Haiti was drawn in Group D with France, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay, while Cuba will compete in Group F alongside Senegal, Croatia and Tajikistan.

The tournament is scheduled to run from November 19 to December 13 in Qatar, with FIFA expected to announce match venues and the full fixture schedule at a later date.

Jamaica secured one of CONCACAF’s spots at the tournament and now prepares for a group-stage challenge against European, African and Asian opposition as the country continues its build-up to the global youth showpiece.
