Leicester City Signs Reggae Boy Bobby De Cordova-Reid

Leicester City, fresh from their promotion, have secured the signing of Jamaican international Bobby De Cordova-Reid from fellow Premier League team Fulham.

The winger has signed a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee, as revealed on Saturday.

De Cordova-Reid began his professional career with Bristol City.

After a loan spell, he made a permanent move to Craven Cottage in January 2020. During his time with Fulham, he made 209 appearances for the London club.

Internationally, he has been capped 33 times for Jamaica and recently represented the Caribbean nation at the Copa America.

“Turning up here was a special moment, looking around and seeing the infrastructure,” De Cordova-Reid shared on Leicester’s website.

“It’s got that wow factor. It feels nice. I’m delighted to be here and I can’t wait to get going.”

The winger also spoke highly of his conversations with Leicester’s manager, noting the clarity and belief the manager had in him.

“I had a good chat with the manager, he told me the vision of the club. I spoke to him a few times and he was very clear in what he wanted and what he saw in me. He believes in me and it’s a perfect fit for me.”
